The church, located on 8th Avenue, between North Hull and Orchard Park Estate, was formally constituted in 1970 as a church plant of Trafalgar Street Church in Hull and was known originally as Orchard Park Free Church.
The church briefly closed in 2000 but was re-established by a team from Christchurch, Cottingham, and given the new name of Hull Orchard Park Evangelical Church (HOPE).
In 2020, the church joined with the newly established Christ Church Network, along with Christ Church Newland and Christ Church Riverside, and took on the current name of Christ Church Orchard Park.
The purpose of Christ Church Orchard Park is to serve God, according to His will, as revealed in the Bible, which we accept as the true word of God.
The church is a fellowship, open to all, for the worship of God, for prayer, for further understanding of the Bible and for reaching out into the community with the good news of Jesus.
